WASHINGTON COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- Investigators say they've uncovered a massive marijuana-growing operation in Washington County.

The discovery was made in the 11000 block of Palestine Road Monday. On a roughly 50-acre property there, investigators say they found approximately 3,450 plants worth a street value of an estimated $1.725 million.

No suspects were found on the property, but investigators say there was evidence that someone had been living in the wooded area near the fields.

According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, this is the sixth marijuana-growing operation shut down there since January of last year.
