Suspected Ft. Bend Co. package thief flips off surveillance camera

The Ft. Bend Co. Sheriff's Office released this video of a man they say was stealing packages from a porch.

RICHMOND, TX (KTRK) -- Investigators hope by releasing this video, they'll be able to find a man they say stole packages off the porch of a home.

The video above is from a surveillance camera at a home in the 4600 block of Poppy Crest Ct. in the Richmond area. It was shot around 2pm on June 28.

In the video, you see a pickup truck back into the driveway of the home and a man gets out. The man walks to the front door, picks up a large package that had been on the porch and puts it in the bed of the truck.

The suspect appears to notice the camera and makes an obscene gesture.

The suspect appears to be in his 30s, standing around 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing around 190 pounds. He has brown hair, a mustache and goatee. He was wearing a dark, short-sleeved shirt, black pants and white athletic shoes.

Investigators say the pickup was reported stolen in Sugar Land.
