PASADENA, TX (KTRK) -- They're not your usual religious icons.

Pasadena police say they found statues of the so-called "narco-saint" in a drug bust.

Officers found cocaine, marijuana and other drugs at a home on Windsor and Burke streets last month. They also found two large statues of Jesus Malverde.

Drug traffickers often set up the statues as shrines to ask for protection.

In Mexican folklore, Malverde was a bandit and Robin Hood-like figure who stole from the rich and gave to the poor.
