BAYTOWN, TX (KTRK) -- The grandfather of a player on a special needs softball team is accused of sexually assaulting one his grandchild's teammates.

Warren Doyle, 69, is charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child. According to Baytown police, the victim's parents reported that their daughter, who plays on the team Doyle coaches, had been sexually assaulted multiple times by him.

The child has been playing for the special needs team for four years. According to police, the sexual assaults occurred earlier this month while at a softball tournament in Burleson, Texas, and continued when the child returned to Baytown.

We're told Doyle, who is the grandfather of another player on the team, was assisting the coach during that tournament in Burleson.

Doyle was arrested after a traffic stop earlier this week and is currently in jail.

Benny Gonzalez helped start the special league years ago, and even has a special needs child who plays. Gonzales says he's outraged and assures that Team Texas players are safe.

Baytown police are asking parents whose children have been in close contact with Doyle to talk to their children, and if they feel as if they've been victimized by Doyle, to contact them at 281-420-6640.
