Smash and Grab burglary at northwest Houston Little Caesars

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Houston Police say a group of thieves escaped with a big safe after backing a pickup truck into the front of a Little Caesars, but the crooks didn't get away for long.

Police pulled over a car matching the description of one of the vehicles spotted leaving the scene. Officers say the vehicle was driving erratically, almost cutting off another patrol car.

Police then discovered the Little Caesars' safe in the backseat. They arrested the woman driving, but several other suspects ran off. Police are still looking for them.

Police are also investigating whether this crime is connected to a burglary of another Little Caesars location on Post Oak just one hour earlier.
