Shelter-in-place at Walter Reed Medical Center in Maryland after reports of active shooter

BETHESDA, MD (KTRK) -- The Walter Reed National Military Medical Center campus near Bethesda, Maryland, placed a shelter-in-place order this morning following reports of a suspected active shooter.

Montgomery County Police officers responded but have not confirmed the initial report of a gunshot heard on campus.

At this point, authorities say they're investigating this as a single shot fired. There have been no injuries reported.
