Shark bites man off North Carolina coast

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, North Carolina -- Some beachgoers were seen keeping their distance from a shark after it bit a man along Wrightsville Beach Thursday.

It happened near Johnnie Mercer's Pier.

One beachgoer captured video of the scene on the beach after someone caught the shark while fishing on the pier.

He said one man was bit on the lower arm while trying to get the shark from the line.

The shark was later hauled back into the ocean.
