Search called off for swimmers missing in Kemah and Galveston

GALVESTON, TX (KTRK) -- The Coast Guard has suspended the search for two missing swimmers.

Phillip Davis, 29, disappeared three miles off the coast of Kemah Saturday. Authorities say he jumped off a sailboat and into Galveston Bay for a swim.

Crews searched by air and boat all weekend but didn't find him.

The coast guard also called off the search for a 23-year-old man who vanished in the water near the Pleasure Pier in Galveston.
