Robin Roberts inspires Houstonians to fight, beat cancer

HOUSTON, TX (KTRK) -- ABC's Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts was in Houston on Saturday, inspiring people to fight and beat their battle with cancer.

Roberts, a cancer survivor, spoke about her fight and recovery with cancer. She said everyone with cancer and recovering from the disease are in it together.

"We are all in this together, each and every one of you," Roberts said. "I just want to look around in your eyes because when you have gone through this as we have, we have an understanding and a connection like no other."

Roberts talked of how wonderful it was to have "such a great support system." Also, she thanked MD Anderson for its cancer research advancements.

"All of us indeed will make cancer history," she added.
