Residents lose patience as power goes out again at southeast Houston apartment complex

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The power went out again at Crestmont Village Apartments and families are furious.

The property manager said there was a "mix-up" in paperwork because they changed power providers. According to CenterPoint Energy, this is another case of non-payment.

Christina Douglas said she was patient with management the first time; now, she is very upset.

"This is ridiculous. There is no reason why this needs to be this way and a lot of us are very hot," Douglas said.

The property manager said the power would be restored by 7pm Friday. Residents were doubtful that would happen, but they reported to Eyewitness News shortly after 7:30pm that they did once again have electricity.
