HPD: Child struck by vehicle in southwest Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A child is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in southwest Houston.

According to Houston police, the child was inside a stroller when the child's mom attempted to cross Hillcroft Avenue around 2pm.

"There was cars going, he couldn't see them," said Nasir Said, who translated an eyewitness account of the accident.

The child was transported to Texas Children's Hospital.

No other details have been released.
