MISSOURI CITY, TX (KTRK) -- Surveillance video from a Missouri City business shows a truck slamming into an unsuspecting cyclist. Police hope the video will help catch the driver who took off.

The hit-and-run happened on Court Rd west of FM 2234 in Missouri City around 7pm on January 17. The video, from a nearby business, shows a white older model Ford F150 or F250 first slam on its brakes before hitting the man on his bike from behind.

Police say the truck stopped for a moment. Someone got out but then left before first responders arrived.

The victim hit the pavement hard, hitting his head. He remains in intensive care in the hospital, according to police.

At least three vehicles were on the roadway at the same time of the hit-and-run. Witnesses describe the suspect as a Hispanic male, between 5'6" and 5'9" in height with a mustache. He was wearing a ball cap and a winter jacket.

A camera from a nearby bank captured still images of the truck. It has a running board with tan trim.

Investigators are asking for the public's help with identifying the suspect vehicle and driver. Anyone with information is asked to call 281-403-8532.
