Police: Homeowner scares off home invasion suspects in NW Harris Co.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The search is on for at least two suspects after a reported home invasion in northwest Harris County on Tuesday.

It's going on at a home in the 6000 block of Downwood Forest Drive. Precinct 1 officials tell us between 4 and 5 suspects tried to get inside, but the homeowner somehow scared them away.

The suspects reportedly fled in a vehicle that the driver wrecked near the intersection of Frick and Antoine.

The suspects took off on foot. Two were taken into custody, but the others remain on the run.
