Police say a woman admits she shouldn't have been behind the wheel in Florida

In Florida, police are investigating an incident off the track at the Daytona National Speedway in which four people were injured.

Police say 43-year-old Abbie Kinney of Cocoa Beach was drunk when she plowed her pickup into four people and five campers Saturday morning.

"I just think it's crazy dude," says Nick, who was an eyewitness to the accident.

It happened around 2:15 am inside the infield at Daytona International Speedway, where many fans and families camp out.

Nick, who only wanted to give his first name, watched it all happen.

"She hit this one camper up there and then she kept on going and then she hit another camper and busted right up into it," Nick says

According to police records, Kinney failed several field sobriety tests.

A breathalyzer found she was more than two times the legal limit.

After she was read her Miranda rights, Kinney allegedly told officers, "I shouldn't have been driving" and admitted to consuming three beers.

"She was trashed at first, she didn't know where she was at," Nick says. "She came out of the truck, she was stumbling, she didn't know where she was at."

Nick says Kinney was driving around 40 miles an hour and watched her hit someone.

"This dude came flying, he landed right over here by this truck here," Nick says.

Police arrested Kinney, charging her with DUI, careless driving, injuring four people along with several counts of property damage.

Kinney has been released from jail on a $5,000 bond.
