Police: Dad admitted hurting infant son before child's death

HOUSTON -- Police say a Houston father has been charged with killing his 2-month-old son.

The Houston Police Department says 20-year-old Everton Bryan was charged with murder and arrested Tuesday. His son, Daniel, died at Texas Children's Hospital on Sunday. The child was admitted to the hospital Thursday with blunt-force trauma injuries.

A cause of death has not been released.

Police say Bryan admitted to hurting the child.

He was booked into the Harris County Jail on $80,000 bond. Online jail records didn't indicate an attorney.
