LA PORTE, TX (KTRK) -- A man robbed a Chase bank in La Porte Friday and now police are asking the public for any information they have on the suspect.

The robbery happened in the 1400 block of West Fairmont Parkway around 4pm. Authorities say the man came in to the bank, demanded money from a teller, and "calmly" walked out with an undisclosed sum. He is believed to have escaped in a pickup truck.

The suspect was described as middle aged, approximately 6'2"- 6'4", slender build, with light color facial hair on the chin. At the time of the robbery, authorities say the suspect was wearing a Carhartt jacket with hood, ball cap, pressed jeans, and dark colored shoes. The suspect was last seen traveling west along West Fairmont Parkway in an early model, light-colored, extended cab truck, possibly a Ford.
