HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man was struck and killed while trying to cross the Southwest Freeway during morning commute.

Yet, when he jumped over the barrier, he was struck in the third lane on the southbound side.

The pedestrian was struck by two vehicles and pronounced dead at the scene, police say. Neither driver will be charged after they stopped to offer assistance, and waited for police.
