Parents want speed bumps near school
A young boy died after an accident involving an alleged drunk driver

PASADENA, TX (KTRK) -- Parents of Genoa Elementary students are banding together after a first grader was killed in an alleged drunk driving accident.

Luis Disla, 6, died September 23 one day after the car he was riding in was struck by an alleged drunk driver. Family friends say the boy and his 18-month-old brother had just been picked up from the daycare across the street from the school when they were struck by a driver who failed to stop at the stop sign.

Chase Satterwhite, 19, now faces multiple charges including intoxication manslaughter. Police say he was going 70 mph in a 35 mph zone.

Parents in the area say speeding in the area surrounding the school has been a constant problem and are now gathering to signatures to get speed bumps in place. They've learned quickly it's a long process but one they're not giving up.
