HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Four people are in hospitals, including a pregnant woman, after a deadly crash northeast of Houston Wednesday.

The accident happened on Highway 146 near the Polk and Liberty County line around 11am. Troopers say a black Jeep with four people inside turned in front of a red Jeep. The SUVs collided.

The woman driving the red Jeep is 34 weeks pregnant and paramedics airlifted her to Memorial Hermann Hospital. She's been identified as Mindy Beth Richardson, of Lufkin. At last check, she was listed in serious condition.

Two boys -- 12 and 13 years old -- in the black Jeep also were airlifted in critical condition.

A 21-year-old in the black Jeep died. He's been identified as Gerald Lynn Potts II, of Cleveland.

Paramedics transported the driver, James Dean Shaw, via ambulance to Conroe Reginal. He was last reported to be in stable condition.

Police believe Shaw may have been intoxicated during the wreck.

No word right now on the survivors' conditions.
