LIVERMORE, CA -- Police say a car crashed through the front doors of a Livermore gym on Tuesday, killing one woman and injuring five others. It happened at the LifeStyleRX gym on Stanley Boulevard.
Livermore police say an 80-year-old woman was parking her car and they believe she had pedal confusion. Her vehicle crashed through the building and into a TRX classroom.
It happened just before 6:30 a.m.
A 49-year-old Livermore woman, a member of the gym, was killed after the accident and five others suffered minor injuries.
Investigators are still on the scene.
LifeStyleRx is a 70,000-square-foot gym and wellness center that is part of the Stanford Health Care - ValleyCare system, according to its website.
