Two Houston police officers suffered minor injuries when a suspect's vehicle slammed into their patrol car

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Two Houston police officers have been injured in a car accident in southwest Houston when a suspect slammed into their patrol car. One officer was trapped in the vehicle, but has been rescued now.

The officers were headed to a domestic violence call at about 9:30am when they spotted the suspect trying to flee the scene. The suspect's vehicle collided with the officers' patrol car on Forum Park at Sugar Branch.

The two HPD officers were taken to Hermann Hospital, with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect, who was driving the other car, was taken to Ben Taub Hospital in unknown condition.
