HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Neighbors came to the rescue of a woman's dog after her home caught fire in west Houston late last night.

The fire broke out around 10:45pm at a home on Westella and Attlee. The woman who lives at the home was able to safely evacuate, but her dog was still trapped inside.

Neighbors ran into the burning home and rescued the dog. No one was hurt.

Firefighters believe a space heater is to blame for the fire. The home suffered moderate damage.
