Motorcyclist dies in Gulf Freeway crash in southeast Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man was killed after crashing his motorcycle on the Gulf Freeway in southeast Houston early this morning.

The crash happened around 3:15am on I-45 near College.

Authorities say the victim's bike hit the back of a pickup and he was thrown off.

He died at the scene. Three other vehicles hit the motorcycle.

Officials are looking into whether slick roads caused by the rain may be to blame for the crash.
