HOUSTON -- A bicyclist was not injured after a MetroLift van struck him Thursday night in northeast Houston.

It happened around 9pm in the 1700 block of North Wayside at Ley Road.

A witness says the bus tapped the bike rider, went down the street, made a U-turn and dropped off a passenger before returning to the man. The victim, a 54-year-old, was uninjured in the accident and tell Eyewitness News someone is coming to pick him up.

"I was driving down the street and the bus hit me from behind. That was pretty much it - I was driving down the street, bam! I was on the floor, on the ground," the victim told ABC-13.

Authorities are still trying to determine exactly how the accident happened.
