Man shot while sitting in parked car in SE Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police say a man was shot three times in southeast Houston.

It happened on Broadway Street near Morley Street.

He was shot while sitting in a car, waiting to pickup his daughter's dog at an apartment complex.

We're learning that he was with his wife at the time, but she had just gotten out of the car and was in their daughter's apartment when it happened. The man sustained serious injuries.

Neighbors say they are used to the violence in the area.
