Man shot through parked car's window near club in northeast Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- HPD is investigating a fatal shooting in northeast Houston.

Police say a man around 40 years old was shot and killed in a parking lot on Laura Koppe Road near Heatherside Street just after midnight.

It appears the man was shot through the driver's side window of a car parked in the lot. Neighbors say patrons of a nearby nightclub use that lot for parking. The club was open when the shooting happened, but it is not clear if the victim attended the club.

Police have not released the identity of the victim.
