A house party ended in a deadly shooting in north Harris County overnight

HARRIS COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- A fun Saturday night suddenly became scary for attendees of a house party in northwest Harris County.

Deputies say someone pulled out a gun during an argument around 2:30am and opened fire.

The violent shooting happened at Fox Chase Lane and Richie Road, where a man was hit three times. His injuries are considered life-threatening, and he was taken by LifeFlight to the hospital.

Investigators say no arrest has been made at this point.

Officers are speaking with neighbors, taking photographs, essentially combing the scene for clues as to who might be responsible for this frightening situation.

Shell casings litter the roadway, a reminder of what happened in the middle of this residential community.
