Man shot multiple times found dead in southeast Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police found a man shot multiple times on a sidewalk in southeast Houston last night. The killer remains on the run.

The shooting happened around 9:30pm last night on Yellowstone near MLK.

Police say they found a gun near the man's body. The windows had been shot out of a nearby home and pickup truck. Officers believe the shooting may have started at a different location.

David Stark of the Houston Police Department homicide division said, "Shooting might have started at the Valero at the corner of Yellowstone and MLK and spilled out into the street here on Yellowstone."

HPD is working to get surveillance video from the Valero gas station.
