Man shot in the head in Montgomery Co., listed in critical condition

PORTER, TX (KTRK) -- A man is in critical condition after he was shot in the head in Montgomery County.

The shooting happened overnight at a home on Amy Lane in Porter, where detectives are trying to piece together what happened.

The victim was taken to Conroe Regional Trauma Center. He is expected to survive his injuries.

Detectives say several people have been detained.

A second person at the scene sustained injuries to his fingers.
