Man shot in SW Houston drives himself to Pearland for medical help

PEARLAND, TX (KTRK) -- A man who was shot in southwest Houston drove himself to Pearland early this morning.

Police say he was desperately trying to save himself.

The man was wounded during a fight with another man in the 5400 block of Ridgewind Lane around 1:30am in southwest Houston. He then drove himself to the Pearland Medical Plaza, but never made it inside.

He called for help and medics took him to Memorial Hermann.

His condition is unknown.

Officers found the man's car. The windows were shot out and doors riddled with bullets.
