Man killed during argument at SE Houston apartment complex

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police are looking into a deadly shooting at an apartment complex in southeast Houston.

Officers say someone knocked on the door of a unit at the complex off Clearwood Street and Almeda Genoa. The person then asked for a man by name. There was an argument and the man closed the door.

A few minutes later, the victim walked outside onto his 2nd floor landing when the argument continued. That's when one of several suspects below fired a shot and hit the victim.

The victim collapsed on the ground. A neighbor heard what was happening and ran over to perform CPR but could not save his life.

The shooter and suspects involved ran off and have not been arrested.
