Man recovering after robbery, assault while changing flat tire

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man is in critical condition this morning after he was attacked and robbed in the parking lot of a business in northwest Harris County.

The victim was found around 11pm last night at the Discount Tire location in the 2900 block of FM 1960 Road West.

Several men told deputies they had stopped at another location to fix a flat tire when they were attacked and robbed. One of the victims was beaten so badly, he had a collapsed eye socket.

The men drove to the Discount Tire after the assault and called 911. The victim was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Deputies say they received several reports of assaults between 9pm and 11pm in the FM 1960 area, but it's unclear if the assaults are all related.
