Man leads police on chase in stolen truck

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man is in jail this morning after leading police on a chase in a stolen truck.

A Houston Police officer spotted a man driving a stolen pick-up truck around 2:30am Tuesday on West Tidwell Road near the North Freeway.

The driver refused to pull over and led officers on a chase that came to an end on Yale and West Hamilton when the truck hit a curb and blew out two tires.

The driver jumped out and tried to run off on foot but was quickly captured by officers. He now faces felony evading and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle charges.
