HOUSTON -- Houston police are looking for a suspect who shot and killed a man at a mobile home on Sunday morning.

The man was found shot on the steps of a mobile home in east Houston.

The man was taken to the hospital where he later died.

The shooting occurred near Maxey inside a trailer park at the block of 1200 Falcon.

Officers say they received a 911 call around 5 a.m. from someone who reported the shooting. The victim may have been the one to call police.

"The call possibly came in from his phone because we did find a phone next to his body," said Detective Willis Huff, Houston Police Department.

Police say the victim may have lived at the home. A man arrived several hours after the shooting, claiming to be the victim's roommate. He provided insight into what the victim may have been doing the night before.

"He's now being detained for further questioning because he supposedly came from a local club and now we're trying to figure out what he may or may not know," said Huff.

Right now police do not have any suspects at this time.If you have any information, you're asked to call police.

Police describe the victim as a Hispanic man in his 20's.

They have been talking to residents and neighbors trying to learn what happened.
