HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted for shooting an off-duty Harris County Precinct 1 reserve deputy constable.
Authorities say the reserve deputy gave a ride to Rajoun Johnson, 23, before 1am Saturday morning. They say Johnson hit the deputy in the head with a gun and attempted to rob him.
Johnson is accused of shooting the deputy and then, authorities say, he ran away.
The deputy is expected to be OK.
