Man arrested in online sting for sexually assaulting child

After conducting an online sting operation, Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office detectives have arrested a Houston man for sexually assaulting a child and other charges.

The victim's mother contacted the Sheriff's Office concerning her daughter, who was 13 years old at the time of the assault.

The victim's mother had discovered that her daughter had been in contact with the suspect on two different chat lines. Once she discovered the sexual nature of the online conversations, the mother contacted Sheriff's Office detectives.
