CONROE, TX -- An arrest has been made in the case of a woman who was sexually assaulted and tortured in her own Conroe home.

The 44-year-old victim told detectives she was choked, cut, stabbed, sexually assaulted and threatened with death for nearly six hours before being able to escape and contact police from her neighbor's house.

The attacker broke into the victim's house in the early hours of the morning Wednesday, March 1. He struck the victim over the head with an unknown object that knocked her out. She told authorities that when she came to she found herself tied up with extension cords in her garage. The woman was then able to identify her attacker as an acquaintance, Gregory Kocian, officials say.

The victim tried to get away but failed and was punished with more abuse and torture. Kocian reportedly left the woman's home a little after 6 in the morning, allowing the victim time to escape and contact the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.

On Friday, Kocian was arrested by Montgomery County Sheriff's Office SWAT and the U.S. Marshal's Office in southwest Houston on a warrant. Kocian is currently in the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Jail charged with aggravated sexual assault with a $1,000,000 bond.
