According to court records when investigators sat down with Dobbs, he told them he killed the teen saying quote, "Kirsten is dead, I killed her. Not the real Kirsten, but the fake Kirsten."

On November 8, Dobbs allegedly called his ex-girlfriend and asked her for a ride to Louisiana so he could see his kids one last time.

That ex-girlfriend then called police who arrested Dobbs at a Texas City bar.

Two days later, her body was found not far from the bar where Dobbs was arrested.

Investigators say she had been stabbed 50 or 60 times.

A backpack with Fritch's clothing was found nearby. It had a knife and a journal with Fritch's name on it.

Meanwhile, Dobbs remains a suspect in the shooting deaths of Fritch's mother and sister whose bodies were found in their apartment on the morning of November 8th.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Texas Equusearch in the name of Kirsten and her mother and sister.
