Firefighters battle two-alarm fire in SW Houston
Firefighters went into defensive mode while battling a two-alarm blaze in southwest Houston.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Firefighters say no injuries have yet been reported during a Thursday afternoon two-alarm fire in southwest Houston.

The fire started around 2:45pm at the Casa Nube apartments in the 9700 block of Court Glen.

Firefighters quickly went into defensive mode but were able to contain the blaze within 45 minutes. They're still trying to put out any hot spots.

Firefighters say about 13 apartment units have been damaged by the fire. Families are just grateful everyone was able to get out safely.

"I was at work when my wife called me and just told me that our apartment was on fire, and as soon as she told me it was on fire, I just came home from work," fire victim Miguel Mondragon said.

The Red Cross is at the scene to assist the victims.
