Video from Houston police shows the moment a little girl interrupts an attempted robbery

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A little girl foiled a robbery attempt in west Houston, surveillance video released by Houston police shows.

The video released by HPD shows the attempted burglary in the 9800 block of Harwin around 9pm on July 25.

A man is seen approaching the perfume shop carrying a pistol. Police say he fired several times into the front door of the business, but before he can enter the store, a little girl jumps out of the suspect's Nissan in the parking lot and runs toward him.

In the video, the man is then seen walking back to his vehicle with the little girl. He then fled the scene eastbound on Harwin.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic or Middle Eastern male, 30 to 40 years of age, with dark, balding hair. He is seen driving a dark-colored Nissan Maxima and wearing a light colored shirt and faded jeans.
