HUMBLE, TX (KTRK) -- Four juveniles -- including two children -- were injured by gunfire in Humble on Monday evening after a neighborhood fight broke out between more than a dozen teens.

Eyewitness News has confirmed that 11-year-old Oscar Cerda and his six-year-old brother Daniel were outside playing soccer with friends when a fight broke out. They were hit by stray bullets and transported to Texas Children's Hospital, where Daniel underwent surgery surgery.

Investigators say the incident unfolded just after 6:10pm. They believe all the kids involved in the fight live around the neighborhood.

A 15-year-old was also shot in the foot during the altercation, one of several who left the scene and came back. A 16-year-old was also grazed in the back.

Neighbors say tension had been brewing between local kids over the past few weeks, and gunshots had rung out before, although nobody had been hit.

Nine people have been detained for questioning.
