No injuries reported in League City fire

LEAGUE CITY, TX (KTRK) -- A League City homeowner says Wednesday was a bad day, and a fire at his house isn't the only reason he thinks so.

The fire erupted at a home in the 2200 block of Mertairie. Firefighters say the blaze started in the garage then spread into the home.

The homeowner says he went into the garage to get some dog food turned on the light, and then went into the house. He said while he was in the restroom, he heard a noise outside, and he went outside he saw his garage is on fire.

The homeowner says his wife is in the ER right now and he's having to deal with the fire instead of being by her side.

Thankfully, no one was injured in the blaze, and his dogs are OK.
