UIL hearing on Jay HS hit
A hearing continues today on the hit on a referee by two HS football players.

AUSTIN, TX (KTRK) -- A hearing today will determine what sanctions, if any, John Jay High School's football team should receive for carrying out a hit on a referee during a game.

The decision will be made in a hotel in Round Rock near Austin.

University Interscholastic League officials will meet at 9am to discuss the attack.

Sophomore Victor Rojas and senior Michael Moreno tackled a referee earlier this month. Yesterday the district sentenced them to 75 days in an alternative school.

ESPN reports assistant coach Mack Breed admitted to ordering the boys to hit the ref to make him pay for racial comments and calls.
