HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Two former Chambers County Jail employees are accused of falsifying and misusing documents.

Former sheriff's deputy Charles Culp and former correctional officer Tracy Rogers are charged with misuse of official information, a third degree felony.

The sheriff's office says it was notified of the allegations and conducted an internal investigation. Warrants were issued against Culp and Rogers, who turned themselves in and are awaiting arraignment.

Culp was a jail supervisor, and Rogers was also assigned to the jail. Sources tell Eyewitness News the men are accused of copying and removing personal inmate information from the jail.

In a statement, Sheriff Brian Hawthorne said, "This administration is doing what we said we wanted to do, and that is to bring integrity back to the Chambers County Sheriff's Office."
