Intruder triggers security scare at Klein ISD elementary school, Steven Romo reports.

SPRING, Texas (KTRK) -- An intruder at an elementary school in Klein Independent School District was arrested Thursday after he entered without permission and headed straight for the bathroom, according to district officials.

Jonathan Harris Watson did not check in at Kuehnle Elementary School's front office as visitors are required to, a spokeswoman said. Staff noticed him and contacted KISD officers. They questioned him as he walked out of the bathroom, and as he tried to leave officers arrested him on an outstanding warrant related to domestic violence in Harris County.

He's not believed to have had any contact with students, according to district officials.

It's unclear why Watson was in the neighborhood.

A Klein ISD spokeswoman said he does not have children enrolled in the school.

Statement from Klein ISD:

"This morning an intruder entered Kuehnle going straight to the front bathroom without checking in at the office. Campus administration handled the intrusion, and he was subsequently arrested by Klein ISD police. Please know that the safety of our students and staff is and will be the highest priority."
