In the Pink of Health luncheon continues to raise awareness

In accordance with the theme of the event, "Skin Tight Genes," guests will have the chance to don their best bejeweled jeans with pink accessories for the annual In the Pink of Health luncheon scheduled for Oct. 17.

This year's honorees Lynette Calfee and Devon Alexander, who also serve as the co-chairs of the annual luncheon held Friday, Oct. 17 at the Houston Airport Marriott Hotel at George Bush Intercontinental.

Calfee was the co-chair of the first In the Pink of Health luncheon held in 2008 and Alexander joined as co-chair two years later.

Calfee is now retired after a long career with the Humble Independent School District and currently works as University Student Teacher Supervisor at Sam Houston University. Alexander is the director of continuing education at Lone Star College-Kingwood.
