HPD officer among those arrested in prostitution sting
The Harris County Pct. 4 Constable's Office says a Houston police officer was among the 19 suspects arrested in the two-day undercover operation.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The Harris County Pct. 4 Constable's Office says a prostitution sting in northwest Harris County resulted in 19 arrests, including one HPD officer.

Harris County Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman says the undercover operation was conducted over a two-day period along the FM 1960 corridor, from the Willowbrook Mall area all the way to Aldine Westfield.

"These types of crimes will not be tolerated out here," Herman said. "We targeted a lot of areas where business centers complained about prostitution."

One of those arrested is Tony Sellers, who was an HPD officer. He's been relieved of duty. Sellers had 20 years of service with HPD and was most recently assigned to HPD's northwest patrol division.

Herman says the suspects arrested either were prostituting themselves or were approaching undercover female deputies for sex.
