HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Houston police have located a missing autistic teen Monday afternoon.

According to authorities, they received an anonymous call around 1:20pm from a person who said they thought they saw 19-year-old Jeremy Heilman along Highway 6 and I-10. Police responded to the call and determined it was Jeremy.

Jeremy's father was with Equusearch volunteers when he got the call that his son was located safe.

An alert was issued by authorities for Heilman after he went missing Sunday at St. Jerome Catholic Church on 8825 Kempwood around 5:45pm in northwest Houston.

Police say Heilman has the mind of 10-year-old and that is why authorities were asking for the public's help locating him.
