HPD: Gun fight ends with 2 men dead in north Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Two men are dead following gun fight outside a north Houston bar early this morning.

The shooting happened outside the El Reventon Sports Bar in the 7300 block of Irvington Boulevard at Yorkshire Street around 3am.

Houston police say there was a physical fight in the bar's parking lot when the man on the losing end of the fight grabbed his gun and fired into a crowd of people and shot the man he was fighting with earlier.

The security guard at the club heard what was going on and came out of the club and he shot the first shooter.

The security guard is with police for questioning. Police say it's unlikely any charges will be filed against the guard.

Several other witnesses were also taken in for questioning.
