HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A southwest Houston woman was kidnapped at gunpoint, sexually assaulted, and robbed. She survived the terrifying night, and now two men are in jail in connection with random attack.

The attack happened near the corner of Hornwood Drive and Marinette Drive.

Before the sexual assault, one of the suspects, Ricardo Matilde-Silvas, allegedly committed another violent crime. According to court documents, he robbed a woman at gunpoint as she parked her car outside her apartment on Corporate Drive around 12:30 Thursday morning.

He's charged with aggravated robbery.

Matilde-Silvas appeared in probable cause court Wednesday morning.

"The defendant pulled out a firearm and tapped on the complainant's window, and told her to get out of the vehicle," the prosecutor said. "Complainant left all her property inside the vehicle and the defendant then left the parking lot in the complainant's vehicle."

Fast forward a few hours, and police say he and Martin Cruz, also known as Jorge Cruz, took a woman at gunpoint outside a high rise on Hornwood Drive, across the street from Cruz's apartment.

"The complainant says she was forced into her vehicle at gunpoint, and the suspects forced her to wear a jacket over her head. Complainant said this defendant sexually assaulted her in the vehicle," officials said.

Prosecutors said the men took her to an ATM, made her take out $300, and then brought her back to Cruz's apartment. Inside, he allegedly sexually assaulted her, while Matilde-Silvas watched with a handgun next to him on a table.

In that case, both men are charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated kidnapping, and aggravated sexual assault.

Both men are being held on $100,000 bond for each count.
